Projects:
New F22 Raptor Munitions Maintenance facility
Design/Build Project Team
Las Vegas, NV
Client: ADT Construction
Scope:Celtic Energy was selected to provide energy efficiency and sustainable design consulting services as part of the Design Build team headed by ADT Construction Group. ADT is under contract to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and must also meet Nellis AFB, and Air Combat Command (ACC) requirements for this unique project. This is the first maintenance facility to be built for the new Raptor aircraft. Our duties include coordination with the design and construction team members, and the customer to ensure that the facility is compliant with the USACE’s Sustainable Project Rating Tool (SPiRiT). We will also augment the commissioning staff to endure that the energy efficient design features are properly installed, and commissioned.
Features:
We have completed the development of an hourly energy simulation model which documents a “base case” energy use for a basic code compliant facility, and then calculates the energy usage and cost savings of the energy efficient design of the facility.
The project is in the final design stage. The completed SPiRiT tool will be submitted to the USACE for approval at the end of the project.
