Project: Energy Conscious Design Review Program

Client: Beaumont Services Company

Scope: Provided energy efficiency consulting to ensure an energy efficient design of new 650,000-square-foot addition to the hospital. Celtic Energy’s duties included:

• Review of A/E plans and specifications
• Recommend design improvements to reduce utility costs
• Develop savings calculations for recommended measures
• Interface with A/E design team to integrate energy saving measures into project

Features: Since construction had already begun, recommendations were limited to those that would not cause any delays to the project schedule.  Celtic Energy analyzed the project design and presented a list cost savings measures which easily could be included in the program without any setbacks. The estimated savings from CEI’s recommendations are $120,000.
