Project: Energy Efficiency Study

Client: State of CT Department of Public Works

Scope: Celtic Energy performed an energy efficiency study of this 18,000 SF historic youth detention facility.

Results: Celtic Energy was challenged to reduce costs and improve the working environment of this historic building originally constructed in the 1950s.

  • Replace Incandescent fixtures with Fluorescents
  • Install Occupancy Sensors
  • Install Photocells for Daylighting
  • Insulate Hot Water Pipes
  • Install Building Automation System
  • Replace Electric Rooftop AC Units with High-Efficiency Gas-fired units
