 Ms. Selig has over 24 years experience in the energy services industry.   Her career started in the mechanical design and construction field then moved into the energy consulting and project development arena in the late ‘80s to focus primarily on energy efficiency. Her experience covers a wide range of the energy services field:  Technical energy auditing and master plan development;  Design and implementation of mechanical and electrical retrofit projects;  Energy Efficiency/Sustainable Design analysis and development; Energy code compliance for new construction and retrofit projects;  DSM program implementation and design;  Deregulation and Energy procurement consulting and RFP preparation;  Energy information system product development and management;  Energy and environmental management plan development;  Performance contract development and execution;  Performance measurement and M&V system design and ongoing management;  On-site utility project and contract development, performance measurement and execution. Experience with Central Utility Plant development (including chilled water, steam, HTHW, cogeneration) for industrial, manufacturing, research, institutional and government facilities. Central Utility Plant expertise includes plant optimization; technical oversight of conceptual through final detailed design and commissioning; development of key contractual technical requirements including functional and performance based delivery requirements; design and implementation of web-based plant performance program and associated contractual guaranteed performance based payments.

At Celtic Energy she has worked on a variety of projects with focus on Performance Contract and M&V project technical quality review, building simulation modeling for energy efficient upgrades including life cycle cost analysis and the development of sustainable building construction guidelines.  Recent projects include; Project Facilitation services including detailed final proposal and performance contract review for 3 GSA and US Air Force facilities totaling over $17 million dollars in construction costs under the US Department of Energy’s Quality Assurance services for Federal ESPCs (Energy Savings Performance Contracts) and a new central chilled water plant feasibility study for a data center involving multiple plant design option LCC analyses including on-site generation coupled with heat recovery for absorption chillers. 

She has worked for several nationally known ESCOs and consulting firms in various roles including engineering management/quality assurance; M&V system design, implementation and quality assurance and corporate technical risk management. Maggie is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, California, South Carolina and  New York.  She is also a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional by the Association of Energy Engineers.  She is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council.  She is a senior member of ASHRAE and Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society.
