- Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
- Using tools provided by Energy Star, Celtic Energy is able gauge the energy intensity of a facility against similar facilities in the region in order to provide benchmark data.
- CEI is also able to project how the recommended improvements will impact the Energy Star Rating (1 - 100) to determine if the facility will qualify for Energy Star distinction.
- As the Energy Star certification, often publically displayed as a plaque on the buidling, gains prestige, benchmarking, reporting, and implementation service will become more important.
